Another season is quickly upon us and we are
looking for bigger and better things to happen for
the Hawks this year. With some of the key players
returning from last years’ squad and some great
acquisitions made throughout the summer and
training camp, we hope to have better success this
year and make another run for a league
championship.

As always we would like to bid a farewell to all our 20 year olds who have moved
on to a different stage in their life as their Jr. B careers have come to an end.
Farewell to Rob McLaren, Mat Canham, Nathan Spaling, Kyle O’boyle, Dylan
Llord, Matt Snowden, Ian Downes, Mike Malucci and Mike Pribanich. Thank you
all for a great year and Good Luck to you in the future.
Georgia-Pacific for the past years of sponsorship they have provided the

establishments and individuals who provide our club with financial support
through advertising on the arena boards and in this hockey program. We would
not be successful without their continued support. A very special thank you to
Merritville Speedway who, throughout their racing season, allow us to sell 50/50
tickets every Saturday night in order to raise funds for our Player Scholarship
Program. We would also like to extend our thanks to you, the Citizens of
Thorold and surrounding areas that support the Blackhawks year after year. It’s

We once again would like to thank the TAAA for their partnership and success
in developing young players who want to someday play at that next level. We
also would like to thank all the Arena Staff and City Council for their continued
support, encouragement and co-operation throughout the hockey season.
Most importantly, we are especially grateful to our loyal group of volunteers.
They include on-ice personnel who spend countless hours at the rink preparing
the team and off-ice staff who coordinate and do the work at fundraisers as well
as key staff positions at the arena on game nights. We would not have the
success that we do if it were not for all of your hard work and dedication. You
are all a piece of the puzzle that makes the Thorold Jr. B Blackhawks a
successful and great organization.
The Thorold Blackhawks have enjoyed a winning tradition for the past several
years and we take pride in achieving this goal year after year. The ownership
group puts in countless hours and dedication in recruiting, developing and
promoting our players in order to attract talent to our team with hopes of
continuing the winning tradition that the Citizens of Thorold have enjoyed. As
always, we have very high expectations of this years’ team and we hope to finish
at the top of the pack when the season ends. We look forward to seeing you all
throughout the hockey season.
