Power Skating
Power skating plays a very important role in the development of hockey players
of all ages. If a hockey player cannot skate effectively and skillfully, there is no
possible way that they will be successful in the sport.
My professional expertise is to develop the fundamentals in skating skills such
as forward striding, backward skating, stops, crossovers, turning, endurance,
speed, agility and conditioning.
I thoroughly enjoy coaching power skating. Seeing and being a part of the
development and progress of the athletes gives me great pleasure. It is
rewarding to know that I can be a contributor to their success on the ice.
Stick Handling
The stick handling program targets players from the ages 6 to 10 years of age.
The program will concentrate on stick handling technique, learning controlled
movements with the puck, along with basic and advanced skating skills with the
puck.
